Shell wanted to make this year’s appreciation dinner a night to remember as they celebrated the winners of the Ultimate Stop Over (USO) award who have hit their targeted sales for the year. The theme had the attendees experience a unique journey captured through an evening in Barcelona, Spain. The evening started the moment the attendees arrived at the airport all the way to the dinner venue and throughout the night.
The theme of the night was known as ’Mil Gracias’ – A Thousand Thanks, in conjunction with their upcoming trip to Barcelona that was only awarded to the USO winners. ROOTS executed a multi-sensory approach to the event infused with Spanish culture. Attention to detail was taken to curate handcrafted welcome and room gifts that were personally delivered to the attendees.
The appreciation dinner highlighted the extended partnership with all the attendees and their anticipation was pique as the theme of the night provided a taste of what to expect for the upcoming incentive trip.
Inspired by the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, street nightlife was brought into the event hall as we transformed it with architectural walls of prominent Spanish buildings layered by lights as the crowd soaked in the traditional flamenco music and performance by dancers supported by a live band.The attendees certainly had the chance to immerse themselves in full la fiesta mood after an information-packed conference in the afternoon.
Recognition of the participants – winner or not – was a key element throughout the planning of this night experience. Success through experiential marketing can be achieved when a themed idea is brought to life through the meticulous handling of every single detail to touch the heart making it meaningful and memorable.
