Axiata Young Talent Programme (AYTP) – the brainchild of Axiata’s Group CEO, Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim is set up to revolutionise the Corporate Social Responsibility field. This is his attempt to strike a balance between the delicateness of nurturing young minds and the grand plan of developing a new generation of CEOs. The single-mindedness of the programme objective is translated into a clear direction that would shape the programme to what it is today.
The ULDP programme marked our journey with Axiata as it was the very first programme we executed under AYTP, led by Ellen Khoo, our Associate Director of Brand Management. Debriefings were done every night to ensure the satisfaction of the participants, not to mention the constant anticipation of what may happen. The first programme had an overwhelming response and at that point, we stepped in to assist in various ways and even went as far as to mentor some of the participants. Having the first-hand experience of being part of the youth programme, we continued to work together with Axiata to improve the youth programmes in however way we could.
Changes were made over the years of journeying together with Axiata, new technologies were introduced, the programme contents were altered and we even introduced some ground rules and established a framework, all so that the delegates would be more disciplined and their stay would be more productive. We discovered Certain Arrive, a technology that smoothens the registration process of each delegate and even adds a personal touch to their own QR code as personal identification.
Refraining from thinking that we are just an events agency, we have now become a reliable programme partner when it comes to the overall planning of these programmes. From the accommodation planning to decorations, the team also pitched in their creativity by bringing in blockbuster movies as part of the journey and brought the event space to life for the delegates best experience. In addition to that, some of these decorations were personally handcrafted by Ellen and her team.
At the end of the day, our main goal is always the same – to deliver a smooth and productive experience for the participants. Over 10 years, we have worked side-by-side since the start of the programme to support Axiata as an extended team through experience and insights. This has resulted in a collaborative partnership that is built on the foundation of trust. Each youth programme delivered has added value not only to the delegates but also to both teams as well.
At the peak of its growth, AYTP has run 18 programmes to date with over 2,500 participants this year alone! This result inspires us to deliver the best-on-ground experience as we believe that this meaningful programme inspires young minds to change the world for the better.
